Job summary

Chrysalis Center Inc. is seeking an Operations Supervisor for Chrysalis Works in Downtown Los Angeles.

The role oversees street maintenance crews, ensures contract compliance, and supports workers on the job to boost job readiness while maintaining high work quality. Responsibilities include supervising crews, providing shift coverage, conducting on-site safety briefings, and coordinating with office staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to work flexible schedule (including mornings, nights and weekends).
• Strong leadership and communication skills and evidence of a strong work history.
• Willingness and desire to mentor CE worker population and support the CE transitional jobs programs.
• Have a valid Class C California driver’s license and the ability to qualify for Chrysalis Enterprises insurance coverage.
• Ability to pick up, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. and work on his/her feet throughout shift.
• Work in or outdoors, standing and walking, for long periods of time (up to full shift) in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.).
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently, balance contract and office requirements, manage projects, meet deadlines and coordinate well with others.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Chrysalis Works workers at contracts daily to ensure timely, professional execution.
• Provide shift coverage at customer sites for project managers, supervisors, and pressure washers.
• Ensure the customer’s needs are met per contractual obligations with high-level service.
• Conduct briefings and trainings on job duties, equipment use, safety, and related areas.
• Report worker incidents promptly and document each incident in writing.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed at contracts and during vehicle/equipment operation.
• Collaborate with Works office staff on day-to-day operations.
• Perform site visits/inspections to ensure work quality and compliance.
