Job summary

WeDriveU in North Carolina is seeking an Operations Supervisor to coordinate between drivers, staff, riders, vendors and client teams to keep shuttle services running smoothly. The role is full-time, with standard weekday hours at Duke University, year-round.

You will monitor KPIs, supervise CDL drivers, support audits, and help with training and documentation while ensuring policy compliance and safety. Strong communication and Excel skills are required; CDL with passenger endorsement is a hard

Responsibilities

• Coordinate between dispatch, drivers and staff to resolve on-the-ground issues
• Liaise between management, dispatch, drivers and riders
• Support operations with problem solving and documentation
• Supervise CDL driver operators and monitor performance KPIs
• Train drivers and communicate fleet maintenance needs to Fleet
• Assist with monthly and quarterly audits and yard policy enforcement
• Provide training and share information across the operations team
• Maintain vehicle documentation and perform check-in/check-out processes

Job Description:

The Operations Supervisor will report to the General Manager and is responsible for actively facilitate communications between WeDriveU drivers and staff, the riders, vendors and client staff to ensure the service is running at top notch.

This is full time position Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

This position will be supporting our operations at Duke Univeristy, but will follow a year round work calendar.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work cross-functional with dispatch to resolve on-the-ground issues.
• Be a liaison between management, dispatch, and drivers.
• Support operations in problem solving.
• Supervise activities and performance for on sire CDL driver operators
• Help drivers locate and troubleshoot vehicles.
• Help drivers troubleshoot intermittent software issue.
• Check-in new vehicles and prepare for service.
• Check-out vehicles for retiring.
• Support operations team by maintaining employee and vehicle documentation.
• Distribute documentation to drivers and communicate information down the chain.
• Monitor driver performance KPIs and report findings.
• Communicate vehicle maintenance needs to Fleet.
• Co-ordinate vehicle movements and usage
• Maintain bus hardware and inventory.
• Assist operations and fleet management with monthly and quarterly audits.
• Provide training to drivers (as needed)
• Support the of company policy and procedures and work with operations to enforce yard policy and procedures.
• Support the General Manager as needed

Skills Required and Physical Demands:

• Ability to multitask and pay extreme attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and problem solve.
• Knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced excel skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Able to lift 25+ pounds, climb stairs, and be on your feet for an extended period.

Education and Qualifications:

Hard requirements:

• Minimum of 1+ years of experience in Operations Supervision
• Commercial driver’s license in NC with passenger endorsement

Preferred requirements:

• Experience in public or private alternative transportation demand management (TDM)
• Knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, DPU policies and procedures
