Job summary

Mennel Milling Company is seeking an Operations Supervisor for the Day Shift in Ohio. You will lead and develop a manufacturing team, ensuring safe, efficient operations and adherence to food safety and quality standards.

The role requires 2+ years in operations or manufacturing, strong leadership, and excellent communication. The job offers full-time hours, a rotating schedule, and opportunities for growth within a historic food production company.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop operations employees to achieve strong manufacturing results.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, sanitation, GMP, OSHA, HACCP, and FSMA.
• Manage daily staffing and resource allocation for efficiency.
• Monitor, track, and report on cost, quality, safety, sanitation, and customer service metrics.
• Provide technical and business support for system operations and product requirements.
• Identify process failures, determine root causes, and drive corrective actions.

What You’ll Do

As an Operations Supervisor, you’ll lead and motivate operations employees while ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations during the night shift. You’ll play a critical role in sustaining Mennel’s legacy of excellence and supporting our food safety mission.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, coaching, and developing operations employees to achieve outstanding manufacturing results
• Ensuring compliance with all food safety, quality, sanitation, GMP, OSHA, HACCP, and FSMA requirements while maintaining an everyday audit-ready facility
• Managing daily staffing and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and system utilization
• Monitoring, tracking, and reporting manufacturing performance related to cost, quality, safety, sanitation, and customer service
• Serving as a technical and business resource for system operations and product requirements
• Identifying manufacturing process failures, determining root causes, and driving corrective actions
• Fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement using Lean/TPM principles
• Providing performance feedback, coaching, and corrective action when necessary

What We’re Looking For

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Industrial Technology, or Supply Chain preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of operations or manufacturing experience (5 years of related experience preferred)
• Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or operations environment
• Strong decision-making, planning, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, physical manufacturing environment and work night shifts
