Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive warehouse or distribution operations experience.
  • Experience leading frontline operations staff in a high-volume or complex warehouse environment.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), labor tracking, and operational performance metrics.
  • Demonstrated experience with safety compliance, operational planning, and employee performance management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, direct, and coordinate daily warehouse operations to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate execution of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling activities.
  • Provide direct leadership, coaching, and accountability for operations staff, including work prioritization, staffing alignment, and real-time operational decision-making.
  • Monitor productivity, labor utilization, quality, and service level metrics; analyze trends and implement corrective actions or process improvements.
  • Support workforce planning activities including scheduling, onboarding, training, performance feedback, and corrective action in partnership with management.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, security procedures, and operational standards.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for customer issues, operational disruptions, and employee concerns; drive resolution and communicate outcomes.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Transportation, Customer Service, HR) to meet customer requirements and business objectives.
  • Oversee proper use, inspection, and maintenance of warehouse equipment, material handling tools, and facility resources.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of operational documentation, inbound/outbound paperwork, inventory records, and system transactions (WMS).
  • Assist with physical inventories, audits, and implementation of new processes, customer requirements, or operational initiatives.
  • Model leadership behaviors and promote a culture of safety, accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prior experience leading frontline operations staff in a high‑volume or complex warehouse environment required.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), labor tracking, and operational performance metrics.
  • Demonstrated experience with safety compliance, operational planning, and employee performance management.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 49 pounds unassisted and to climb a ladder as required.
Working Conditions

The work environment is an indoor/outdoor shop with adequate ventilation. Employees are exposed to vibration, lighting challenges, falling hazards, frequent lifting of up to 49 pounds, and loud noises typical of a warehouse setting. The role requires standing, walking, and use of hands and feet for repetitive movements. All duties are performed in compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
