Job summary

Riverstone Logistics, a Charlotte-based freight-forwarding provider, seeks an Operations Supervisor to lead routing, dispatching and client delivery objectives at a specific profit center. You will supervise a team of Operations Coordinators and monitor motor carrier performance, providing feedback to carriers and site management.

You will assist with proactive delivery issue resolution, coaching, and hands-on support in office or warehouse to maximize site performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• Strong people and operations supervisory skills.
• Experience utilizing Microsoft Office products Excel Teams etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent customer service skills including conflict resolution.
• Ability to adapt to changes in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to embrace new technology.
• Operations or final mile delivery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day to day delivery operations including monitoring of morning loadout, check-in, delivery activity, evaluation of motor carrier needs and customer service in accordance with client standards.
• Ensure timely reporting of loadout, returns, compliance as well as motor carrier compliance within client standards and communication mechanisms.
• Maintain professional relationships with location management, peers, motor carriers, client employees and other department managers and coach the team to standards.
• Supervise and review route monitoring utilizing client-specific software.
• Supervise and perform the check-in process for reschedules that are brought back by motor carriers.
• Process and monitor returns through the client portal at participating locations.
• Move inventory safely using material handling equipment as needed.
• Serve as a main point of contact for escalations from the client.
• Schedule orders and notify the customer of their time windows for next day delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned may vary based on client requirements.

Position Summary

The Operations Supervisor will oversee the day to day functions of routing dispatching and other client delivery objectives at a specific profit center This position will supervise a team of Operations Coordinators that monitor motor carrier performance and provide feedback to motor carriers and location management In addition this position will assist CDTRTD in monitoring and troubleshooting of delivery issues in a proactive and highly responsive manner This position will spend most of their time in the office or warehouse helping to maximize the performance of the site by providing feedback and coaching to their team

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
