Job summary

Riverstone Logistics is seeking an Operations Supervisor to manage day-to-day routing, dispatch, and client delivery objectives at a dedicated profit center. You will lead a team of Operations Coordinators, monitor motor carrier performance, and provide proactive feedback to improve delivery outcomes.

You will spend significant time in the office or warehouse, coaching staff, optimizing processes, and ensuring adherence to client standards.

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory experience in logistics, shipping, or final mile operations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with clients and carriers.
• Ability to adapt to fast-changing priorities and use new software or systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day delivery operations, monitoring loadout, delivery activity, and carrier needs.
• Ensure timely reporting of compliance and performance metrics per client standards.
• Maintain professional relationships with location management, carriers, and client staff; enforce standards.
• Supervise route monitoring and check-in processes for reschedules by motor carriers.
• Monitor returns through the client portal and support inventory movements with equipment as needed.
• Serve as primary contact for client escalations and communicate delivery windows to customers.
• Assist with scheduling orders and notifying customers of next-day delivery times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by client requirements.

Position Summary

The Operations Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day functions of routing, dispatching, and other client delivery objectives at a specific profit center. This position will supervise a team of Operations Coordinators that monitor motor carrier performance and provide feedback to motor carriers and location management. In addition, this position will assist CDT/RTD in monitoring and troubleshooting of delivery issues in a proactive and highly responsive manner. This position will spend most of their time in the office or warehouse helping to maximize the performance of the site by providing feedback and coaching to their team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Oversee day-to-day delivery operations, including the monitoring of morning loadout/check in, delivery activity, evaluation of motor carrier needs, and customer service in accordance with agreed quality and production standards of the client
• Ensure timely reporting of loadout/returns compliance as well as motor carrier compliance within client standards and the agreed-upon communication mechanism
• Maintain professional working relationships with location management, peers, motor carriers, client employees, and other department managers and holds their team to the same standards
• Supervise and review route monitoring utilizing client-specific software
• Supervise and perform the check in process for reschedules that are brought back by motor carriers
• Process and monitor returns through the client portal at participating locations
• Move inventory safely using material handling equipment (as needed)
• Serve as a main point of contact for escalations from the client
• Schedule orders and notify the customer of their time windows for next day delivery
• Perform other duties as assigned (may vary based on client requirements)
