Job summary

Central Transport is seeking a Hub Operations Supervisor in Missouri to oversee terminal dock operations, loading, forklift traffic, and palletized freight management. The role directs up to 30 road drivers and dock personnel to meet production schedules and ensures safety and DOT/OSHA compliance.

Ideal candidates bring experience in transportation or cross docking, strong leadership, excellent communication, and comfort with technology.

• Direct up to 30 LTL road drivers and dock personnel to meet schedules.
• Use independent judgement to build loads based on labor and freight levels.
• Monitor trailer cube/weight, ensure safety and DOT/OSHA compliance.
• Provide leadership and accountability for drivers and dock staff.
• Track dock production and achieve KPI targets.
• Oversee hours, overtime, and a safe work environment.

LOCATION:

Shifts Looking to Fill:

Monday - Friday: 4:00pm - 2:00am

Monday - Friday: 11:00pm - 9:00am

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

• Experience in a transportation, cross docking, or shipping and receiving environment (preferably within the LTL industry)
• Familiar with customs and cross-border transportation
• Strong leadership qualities
• Desire to surround customer with excellence in service
• High aptitude for technology
• The ability to multi-task while being detail oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• An associate or bachelor’s Degree, preferred but not required

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Oversee hub operations for your designated section of the terminal dock
• This includes the process of loading, managing forklift traffic, and overseeing proper picking/sortation of palletized freight.
• Manage up to 30 LTL road drivers and dock personnel to achieve a designated production schedule.
• Utilizing your independent judgement to build loads based on available labor and freight levels.
• Ensure proper load of carriers by monitoring the cube and weight of trailers
• Provide leadership and accountability to a team of drivers, dock workers and dock hand.
• Monitor dock production, ensuring facility Key Performance Indicator goals are met and/or exceeded.
• Monitor hours and overtime.
• Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards.
• Ensure company operational model compliance.
• Support a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers
