Job summary

Central Transport is seeking a Hub Operations leader to oversee a 120-door facility section, coordinating load planning, forklift traffic, and palletized freight handling. You will manage up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock staff, applying independent judgment to maximize labor efficiency and on-time performance.

The role emphasizes leadership, strong communication, and a focus on safety, DOT/OSHA compliance, and continuous improvement in the operation.

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation, cross docking, or shipping and receiving.
• Familiar with customs and cross-border transportation.
• Strong leadership qualities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hub operations within a 120-door freight facility for your designated section of the dock.
• Load pallets, manage forklift traffic, and oversee proper picking/sortation of palletized freight.
• Manage up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel to achieve a designated production schedule.
• Utilize your independent judgement to build loads based on available labor and freight levels.
• Ensure proper load of carriers by monitoring the cube and weight of trailers.
• Provide leadership and accountability to a team of drivers, dock workers and dock hand.
• Monitor dock production, ensuring facility KPI goals are met and/or exceeded.
• Monitor hours and overtime.
• Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards.
• Ensure company operational model compliance.
• Support a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers

Salary

Up to $75,000 + bonus (10%)

Duties include, but are not limited to
