Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. in Maplewood Park, IL is seeking a Production Leader to guide a team of entry-level employees and ensure customer demand is consistently met. You will coordinate daily production activities, distribution, and local delivery routes while driving safety, quality, and compliance.

You will lead Lean/5S initiatives, monitor performance, manage training, and develop contingencies to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Unionized environment experience is a plus.

Job description

• Youwill provide leadership and direction for a team of entry-level productionemployees to ensure customer demand is consistently met
• Coordinate daily production activities and distribution requirements,including local delivery routes and shuttle scheduling
• You will lead reliability, compliance, quality, and safety initiatives tomeet governmental and environmental regulations Ensure temployees are trainedand committed to Linde Safety and Quality systems, woring closely with theCompliance Manager to coordinate training
• Monitor production performance and manpower levels to maintain efficiency,anticipate problems, and develop contingencies
• Identify operational challenges and lead improvement efforts related to production processes, shift scheduling, andtraining; report progress and findings to plant management
• You will manage and escape equipment and product quality issues,maintaining adequate inventory of production supplies and support 5S and LeanProjects and hazardous waste activities, continuously identifying ways toreduce plant operating costs through Operational Excellence strategies

What makes you great

• Bachelor'sdegree is preferred; high school diplomaor GED is required in this role
• You have a minimum of 5 years ofexperience in an industrial plant environment
• 5+ years of experience in Driver,operations, distribution or quality roles
• You have at least three (3) years of experience leading and developing employees
• Willingness to work in a unionized Environment is required

Pay range: $100,000 - $120,000 yearly, based on experience.
