Job summary

Rembrandt Foods in Rembrandt, Iowa, is seeking an Operations Management Trainee for our 24/7 egg processing facility. You will rotate across Operations, Engineering/Maintenance, Accounting, Safety, HR, and Sales to prepare for a shift supervisor role within 6–12 months.

Based in a fast-paced environment, the program emphasizes hands-on learning, cross-functional collaboration, and developing leadership skills to drive performance KPIs and safe, efficient production processes.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering, agricultural science, poultry science, food science or related field with expected May/December graduation.
• Right to work in the U.S. not solely based on student visa or sponsorship.
• Must be willing to provide own transportation and work all shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Job Summary: At Rembrandt Foods you will work in a fast-paced egg processing environment. As a key member of the operations management team the Operations Management Trainee will gain exposure to all facets of egg processing: Operations, Engineering/Maintenance, Accounting, Safety, Human Resources, Accounting and Sales. The intent of this position is to train to you to become a shift supervisor within 6-12 months. Operations Management trainees may work varying hours and shifts as we are a 24/7 operation. This position is located in Rembrandt, Iowa.
• Duties and Responsibilities: Shadows supervisors and employees to learn all areas of the processing facility Leads projects as assigned Collaborates across functions Establishes measurable criteria to ensure desired results are obtained and provides management with updates via tracking reports reflective of Key Performance Indicators in line with set priorities and timing targets Identifies training needs for facilities and assists in the deployment of agreed to training techniques, content, and timing Other duties as assigned
• Required Qualifications: Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering, agricultural science, poultry science food science or other related fields with an expected graduation of May or December Right to work in the U.S. that is not solely based on a student visa or sponsorship Must be willing to and provide their own transportation Must be willing to work on all shifts and on the weekends Ability to work with a diverse set of employees and backgrounds. Must possess a high degree of resourcefulness and be able to work independently
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous co-op, internship, or related experience in a manufacturing plant environment Overall GPA of 2.5 or higher Bilingual (Spanish)
