About the role

As an Operations Supervisor, you'll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day transport operations, managing a team of drivers and subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with safety and NHVR regulatory requirements for our Construction Division. You will play a key role in maintaining fleet efficiency, delivering excellent customer service, and resolving operational issues.

Position is based in Brooklyn and is a permanent full-time role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Effective management of drivers and subcontractor drivers.
• Oversee and coordinate daily transport operations for construction sites.
• Monitor workflow and respond to operational issues.
• Provide operational support between operations and maintenance teams.
• Ensure compliance with NHVR laws and company policies.
• Ensure vehicles are inspected and ready for shifts.
• Communicate proactively with customers regarding delays or service issues.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle movements, driver hours, and compliance checks.
• Other duties as required.

Experience & Abilities required

• Experience in a supervisory role within transport.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with drivers.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment procedures and practices.
• Knowledge of COR, NHVAS, transport legislation, and regulations.
• Familiarity with oversized vehicles, trailers, load restraints, permits, and route planning.
• Experience with Transport Management systems like F2020, MT Data, and MS Office.
• Current Forklift License; forklift experience preferred but not essential.
