Job summary

Cigna Health and Life Insurance Company is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead the Fulfillment team in Memphis, overseeing pharmacists, technicians, and clerks to ensure timely, accurate medication shipments.

You will drive productivity, plan workflow, monitor safety and quality, and partner with senior leadership on turnaround times and costs. This on-site role offers consistent hours and opportunities to improve processes within a patient-centric pharmacy environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years related operations experience (pharmacy, warehouse, or distribution).
• 2+ years of leadership experience or coaching exposure.
• Proficient in Excel and inventory reporting; Power BI/SQL preferred.
• Ability to analyze inventory data and identify trends and risks.
• Knowledge of pharma compliance is a plus and pharmacy technician license in TN desirable.

Operations Supervisor - Fulfillment Team

As an Operations Supervisor on this Fulfillment team you will be responsible for day-to-day operations of a team of fulfillment representatives, technicians, and pharmacy clerks who work together to ensure our patients receive timely and accurate medication shipments.

What you’ll need to be successful:

• High school diploma or GED required, BA/BS degree preferred
• 3+ years relevant operations experience (i.e., pharmacy, warehouse, distribution, production, manufacturing, or engineering)
• 2+ year leadership experience or in depth exposure to coaching and leading a team preferred
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex inventory data and identify trends, risks, and discrepancies.
• Proficiency in Excel and inventory reporting tools; Power BI or SQL experience is preferred.
• Experience conducting root-cause analysis and developing sustainable corrective actions.
• Ability to monitor inventory KPIs and translate results into operational improvements.
• Strong analytical oversight of cycle counts, adjustments, reconciliations, and inventory accuracy.
• Ability to evaluate short-dated, expired, and high-value product exposure.
• Experience analyzing purchase-order, receiving, transfer, and supplier-related discrepancies.
• Ability to communicate analytical findings and recommendations clearly to cross-functional leaders.

• Must be eligible to maintain a pharmacy technician license issued through the Tennessee State Board of Pharmacy
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to effectively develop, train and coach less experienced team members
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule for peak times
• Ability to monitor daily operations of a unit and actively assist or provide direction to subordinates
• Willingness to work on the production floor with your team as needed while maintaining supervisor duties

Location and Schedule

This role will be onsite in our Memphis office at 1620 Century Center Parkway. We expect the starting shift to be Monday through Friday 6:00AM-3:00PM with some flexibility needed. Our Supervisors will also rotate one Saturday shift per month.
