Job summary

Crane Worldwide Logistics is seeking an on-site Operations Supervisor in Kansas City to coordinate daily activities, plan workloads, supervise staff, enforce policies and resolve conflicts. You will monitor performance and drive process improvements while coordinating with other departments and clients.

Requirements: high school diploma or GED, four years industry experience, and two years supervisory experience; strong problem solving, client service and quality management abilities;

Responsibilities

• Execution of KPI’s per company standard including The Morning Routine and The Director’s Playbook.
• Coordinate daily and weekly activities, planning workloads and staffing accordingly.
• Accountable for production, supervision and discipline of employees, and conflict resolution.
• Monitor and evaluate employees based on goals and standards.
• Enforce policy and procedure compliance.
• Coordinate with other departments within the company.
• Respond to and solve production problems.
• Train employees on job duties and develop them through coaching.
• Make suggestions and show initiative for process improvements.
• Effectively communicate with clients, vendors and employees.
• Assist Operations Manager with planning and budget process.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

• Coordinates daily and weekly activities, planning workloads and staffing accordingly
• Accountable for production, supervision and discipline of employees, and conflict resolution
• Monitor and evaluate employees based on goals and standards
• Enforce policy and procedure compliance
• Coordinate with other departments within the company
• Respond to & solve production problems
• Train employees on job specific duties and develops employees through coaching
• Make suggestions and show initiative for process improvements
• Effectively communicate with clients, vendors and employees
• Assist Operations Manager with planning and budget process
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment
• Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
• Job may require extended sitting or standing, use of standard office equipment.
• Job will require punctual attendance and regular presence on-site at the assigned work location.
