Job summary

Fortress Downhole Tools is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead the Cyclops Setting Tools program, coordinate with customer field reps, and ensure quality and safety across operations. You will oversee tool maintenance, testing, onboarding, and scheduling while driving continuous improvement in shop performance.

The role requires strong technical background with downhole tools, leadership experience, and the ability to manage inventory, training, and time sheets.

Qualifications

• Experience with downhole tools used in pump-down operations.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate basic hand tools.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed to support operations.
• Strong problem-solving, interpersonal communication, and operational management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Cyclops Setting Tools with customer field representatives.
• Disassemble, clean, inspect, rebuild, and test Fortress Cyclops Setting Tools per Work Instructions.
• Provide technical support and onboarding to customers for Fortress tools.
• Ensure equipment and tools are available and maintained for all job aspects.
• Maintain QA/QC policies and safe practices across the team.
• Ensure all personnel are current with safety training and PPE.
• Coordinate tool needs between shop and upper management.
• Interview, hire, and train Tool Assistants and Specialists.
• Train and progress shop personnel; create scheduling and workload planning.
• Maintain reports on ongoing jobs and activity for Fortress management.
• Maintain inventory levels and oversee technicians’ time sheets.

The Operations Supervisor will report directly to the Facility Manager. Responsibilities will include the implementation and management of the Fortress Downhole Tools Cyclops Setting Tool Recycling program, including the coordination, performance, and execution of Fortress processes and procedures. The Operations Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the quality of the Fortress supplied products meets or exceeds the customer’s requirements and maintains the standard of excellence established by Fortress Downhole Tools.

The Operations Supervisor will report directly to the Facility Manager. The Operations Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the quality of the Fortress supplied products meets or exceeds the customer’s requirements and maintains the standard of excellence established by Fortress Downhole Tools.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with customer field representatives to effectively coordinate Cyclops Setting Tools
• Disassemble, clean, inspect, rebuild, and test Fortress Cyclops Setting Tools per the applicable Fortress Work Instructions
• Provide technical support/onboarding to customers for Fortress Cyclops Setting Tools
• Ensures all necessary equipment and tools are available and adequately maintained to perform all aspects of the job
• Ensure all QA/QC policies & procedures are always top priority
• Ensure all employees are up to date with safety training and PPE
• Coordinate tool needs between shop and upper management
• Interviewing, hiring, and firing of Tool Assistants and Specialists
• Train and progress shop personnel
• Create scheduling and grading employees
• Maintain reports on ongoing jobs and activity to Fortress management
• Maintain adequate inventory levels
• Oversee all technicians time sheets/days off
• Ensure housekeeping is kept up to highest standard every day
• Maintains the highest level of professionalism and works with honesty and integrity

Qualifications

• Strong technical background working with downhole tools utilized in pump down operations, including wireline setting tools, frac plugs, and perforating guns
• Self-motivated and detail oriented
• Available to work weekends and holidays as needed to support customer field operations
• Excellent problem solving, interpersonal communication, and operational management skills
• Working knowledge of Windows 10 OS, and Microsoft Office
• Forklift training
• Proficiency with basic hand tools
• Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs
• This position may require periodic travel to other districts as necessary to meet company needs and support operational initiatives.
