Lite & Barricade is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee all operational functions for the company, ensuring safe delivery of products and services. The role includes handling insurance claims, customer issues, and third-party complaints at the Dallas location.

The ideal candidate will have extensive traffic control industry knowledge, proven leadership skills, and the ability to resolve issues quickly while coordinating with HR and estimating teams on large quotes and job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all departments/functions within the operations team in both yard and field.

• Address all customer and company complaints.
• Hire operational team members and manage disciplinary actions.
• Assist HR with unemployment claims as needed.
• Participate in ATSSA committee meetings annually and bi‑yearly.
• Coordinate field needs for jobs and negotiate with vendors.
• Represent the company at industry trade shows.
• Collaborate with Estimating on quotes and TXDOT lane closure bids.
• Provide training on new products to employees.

SCOPE OF JOB: The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all operational functions for the Company and ensuring consistent and safe delivery of products and services. In addition, the incumbent oversees all insurance claims, customer issues, and third‑party complaints. The Operations Supervisor oversees both Operations and Administrative functions for the assigned location.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee or direct involvement in all departments/functions within the operations team both in the yard and the field.
• Hire, oversee, direct and manage the inside sales team.
• Handle all safety issues/meetings for the Dallas location.
• Handle all customer and Company complaints.
• Hire all operational team members.
• Handle all disciplinary actions for Operations team members.
• Assist HR as needed with unemployment claims.
• Participate as a committee member in the American Traffic Safety & Services Association (ATSSA) and attend yearly and bi‑yearly meetings.
• Ensure all small needs are met for job completions in the field including concrete, hand tools, etc Meet with vendors to negotiate quantities and pricing
• Participate In All Industry Trade Shows Representing The Company.
• Work with the Estimating team on large quotes for jobs, TXDOT quotes for lane closure contracts, and custom build quotes.
• Provide training to employees on new products.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Extensive knowledge of the traffic control industry.
• Proven management and leadership skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively across a broad range of customers and employees.
• Ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma; some college preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in the traffic control industry OSHA 30-hour certification.
• Management/leadership training and experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Light industrial work exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move, transport, install, and remove objects.
• Frequently operates a computer and other office equipment such as a calculator, copy machine, computer printer etc.
• Visual acuity is constantly required to operate machines, equipment, and/or motor vehicles, perform mechanical or skilled trade tasks, and ensure the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
• Constantly communicates with customers and employees. Must be able to exchange accurate information verbally and in writing.
• Frequently subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions with no effective protection from the weather.
• Occasionally subject to hazards that may include a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, exposure to high heat exposure to chemicals, and/or functioning in narrow aisles or passageways.
• Occasionally subject to noise at a level that may require the employee to shout in order to be heard.
