Job summary

Capstone Logistics, LLC is seeking an Inventory Supervisor to plan, coordinate, and manage all inventory activities in the Distribution Center. The role interfaces with DC leadership to improve performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability through effective supply chain methods and strategies.

The position leads Inventory Clerks, conducts weekly planning, reviews KPIs, ensures safety, and participates in training.

Qualifications

• Experience planning, coordinating, and managing physical inventory in a DC.
• Ability to lead a team and align weekly goals with leadership.
• Track KPIs and develop action plans to meet targets.
• Ensure safety compliance and conduct site observations and audits.
• Engage with internal/external stakeholders and manage budget considerations.

Responsibilities

• Operational Planning:Align weekly goals with SOM and set weekly site plan.
• Resource / Facility Planning:Match labor to forecast; communicate staffing plans.
• Safety & Compliance:Follow up safety items and conduct site audits.
• Orientation & Training:Attend orientation; support 30/60/90 day follow-ups.
• MISC:Manage invoices and weekly P&L; perform additional duties as assigned.

Inventory Supervisor

Job Summary

The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for the planning, coordination, and management of all activities related to the physical inventory requirements in the Distribution Center (DC). This includes inventory management, supplier integration, relationship management with internal and external stakeholders, and team leadership. The role interfaces with various departments within DC leadership and requires a diverse range of skills to support company operations. The Inventory Supervisor works closely with regional warehouse leadership to improve performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability through effective supply chain management methods and strategies. Additionally, this position will participate in building a robust supply and inventory management organization.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Manages team of Inventory Clerks

Essential Functions

• Operational Planning:
  • Align weekly goals with SOM and set weekly plan for the site
  • Communicate plans to GMs and ensure all necessary follow-up communications are made
  • Review and evaluate KPIs and create action plans to ensure goals are met
• Resource / Facility Planning
  • Ensure operational labor in pipeline and on hand to match forecast model
  • Communicate weekly staffing plan
  • Ensure adequate equipment is on site and follow established repairs schedule
  • Consolidate building repair and tracks property/product damage against KPIs
• Safety & Compliance
  • Follow up on AIB action items
  • Follow up campus safety compliance by conducting observations, sweeps, and safety meetings
  • Review safety trends and champion safety committee
  • Conduct quarterly site audit and follow up with action plans
• Orientation & Training
  • Attend and greet all orientation classes
  • 30/60/90 day follow up with all new hires
  • Evaluate training methods
• MISC
  • Manage financial metrics for operation including approving invoices, coordination of billing, and review of weekly P&L statements
