Job summary

RBC Minneapolis is seeking an Operations Specialist I for the New Accounts team within Client Onboarding. You will deliver research, problem resolution, and data processing with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.

You will liaise with internal departments and external customers, analyze reports, and suggest improvements. The role includes training teammates and ensuring regulatory compliance. Growth and customer-centric service are core goals.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree from an accredited university (or equivalent) OR high school diploma (or equivalent) AND 3 years of job-related experience.
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Passion for providing solution-focused customer service via phone and email.
• Ability to learn new technology and analyze/escalate issues for resolution.
• Able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, confidential environment.

Responsibilities

• Liaise and provide customer service support for research, problem resolution, or information from Operations, RBC BUs, external customers, or industry participants.
• Address escalated questions independently with guidance from Team Lead/Manager as needed.
• Execute daily department oversight to ensure systems run as designed.
• Run and analyze reports to resolve exceptions, adhering to regulations and policy.
• Suggest process changes and participate in testing/implementation of new systems and processes.
• Provide accurate analysis and processing support for complex or exception-based processes and verify data in systems.
• Train and mentor less experienced Operations team members.
