Brief Description
Looking for a Manager for our water plant in South Central Kansas. The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance activities of water and wastewater plants.
Preferred Qualifications
Wastewater license is preferred. Prior experience in Industrial Wastewater Operations is desired.
Work Schedule
Monday – Friday, 1st Shift, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with weekend overtime as required to support production. Must be able to operate systems when needed.
Primary Responsibilities
Education, Experience, and Skills
Education/Experience: BA/BS in a related field with 5-7 years of water/wastewater experience. At least two years of supervisory experience required.
Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driver’s License (CDL preferred). State-specific Water/Wastewater Operator’s License. Other licenses as per site requirements.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, basic office and phone equipment. Knowledge of OSHA, DOT regulations, and utility SOPs. Ability to complete regulatory documentation and reports.
Communication Skills: Clear, professional communication. Ability to foster positive customer interactions, maintain composure, collaborate, and promote diversity and accountability. Engage in constructive feedback and productive discussions.
Problem Solving & Quality: Attention to detail, ability to solve complex issues, and develop innovative solutions. Think strategically about problems and opportunities.
Results Management: Adhere to policies and SOPs, delegate effectively, prioritize tasks, and manage deadlines. Provide feedback and control costs, quality, and efficiency.

Physical Demands
Must frequently lift 50-60 pounds, load/unload equipment, access confined spaces, and walk or climb stairs/ladders.
