Job summary

Optris is seeking a dependable Operations Support Specialist to handle shipping, receiving, inventory accuracy, and QuickBooks data entry to support our infrared temperature measurement products. You will balance warehouse duties with administrative tasks in a small-business setting.

The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, warehouse operations, or order fulfillment.
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting/inventory software.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications, email, and data entry.
• Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Experience with electronic, technical, industrial, or instrumentation products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments of infrared temperature measurement instruments, sensors, accessories, and components.
• Pick, pack, and ship customer orders accurately and on schedule.
• Enter customer orders, purchase orders, and inventory transactions into QuickBooks.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform routine cycle counts.
• Organize and stock inventory to ensure efficient order fulfillment.
• Prepare shipping labels, packing slips, and other shipping documentation.
• Coordinate shipments with UPS, FedEx, and freight carriers.
• Track shipments and assist customers or team members with delivery-related inquiries.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to management.
• Assist with receiving quality checks and product verification.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and work area.
• Support general operational and administrative activities as needed.
