Job summary

GE Vernova in Ohio is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead rotor repair operations on takt-based production schedules, and to supervise a team of technicians.

You will promote continuous improvement, ensure Environmental, Health & Safety and ISO 9001 compliance, conduct risk assessments, and drive root-cause analyses to eliminate defects. Strong leadership and problem-solving are essential, with heavy equipment maintenance experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with team lead or supervisory responsibilities.
• Proven experience in heavy equipment maintenance, or similar technical operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead rotor repair operations and manage takt-based production schedules.
• Supervise technicians including manpower allocation, attendance tracking, and task assignment.
• Conduct toolbox meetings and Daily Management System reviews covering SQDC performance.
• Escalate operational issues through established channels (Andon) and ensure timely resolution.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate waste, reduce variability, and improve process efficiency.
• Promote and sustain a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement in problem-solving activities.
• Ensure full compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Promote and enforce Life Saving Rules and a strong safety-first culture across the shift.
• Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in Gemba walks and Layered Process Reviews to identify and address safety gaps.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, work instructions, and inspection requirements.
• Enforce standardized work practices and support ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality deviations.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process-related issues with Maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Monitor equipment performance and support preventive maintenance activities.
• Identify process bottlenecks and implement sustainable solutions to improve throughput.
