Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Northridge, CA is seeking an Operations Research Engineer Level 3 or 4 to join the Advanced Weapons team. You will develop models, perform data analysis, and mentor junior analysts in simulation and modeling practices.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, strong background in mathematical modeling, and experience with tools like MATLAB, Simulink, and data visualization. On-site work only with relocation assistance possible.

Qualifications

• Experience creating compelling Operational Viewpoints (OV-1s), data visualization, and briefing materials to explain simulation techniques and insights.
• Experience with DoD contracts and technical performance metrics from SOWs/SOOs.
• Active DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain SAP clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply advanced software and systems methods for complex technical problems.
• Model operational environments and perform trade studies via simulation.
• Develop software to model system behavior in real-time and in constructive simulations.
• Perform mission and engagement simulations using standard tools like MATLAB and Simulink.
• Elicit inputs from stakeholders and communicate results to leadership.
• Participate in Agile engineering project frameworks.
