We are hiring GS-13 Operations Research Analysts ready to turn complex data into strategic warfighting capabilities.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship required.

A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution in operations research, computer science, data science/analytics, mathematics/statistics, engineering, or a closely-related scientific discipline. For any qualified degree, at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject‑matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics with at least 3 hours in calculus is required. Advanced degree(s) are preferred.

Must exhibit a high degree of judgment, resourcefulness, originality, and the ability to foresee the impact of changing technology.

Desired Skills/Expertise

• Knowledge of a broad range of operations research analysis techniques and possession of analytical abilities.
• Knowledge of quantitative techniques and methods used to develop, adapt, modify, and apply models to resolve problems or define and clarify alternative solutions.
• Skill to negotiate and/or defend findings and program support concepts.
• Ability to lead study teams; originate new ideas, projects, and methodologies; and execute projects and/or studies within established financial and/or time constraints.
• Ability to develop and utilize appropriate data collection techniques and design, build, and use models and simulation techniques.
• Demonstrated proficiency with R, Python, SQL, PowerBI, and/or similar coding languages or data visualization tools to manipulate data and draw insights from large and small data sets
• Demonstrated experience working and developing products in cloud data platforms, such as Envision, Maven Smart Systems, or ADVANA/War Data Platform
