OTC Industrial Technologies in the Greater Norfolk Area is seeking an Operations Representative to enter orders, generate purchase orders, and follow up on open orders. You will expedite shipments and track on-time delivery performance to meet customer needs.

You will need an Associate's Degree or equivalent (or HS diploma with 2 years related experience) and strong communication skills. Comprehensive benefits, 401(k) match, PTO, tuition assistance, and relocation support are offered.

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college/technical school, or HS diploma with two years related experience.
• Experience and knowledge of electrical and automation distribution.
• Excellent customer relations and problem solving skills.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Proficient with office software; Microsoft Office tools required.

Responsabilidades

• Enter orders and generate purchase orders to vendors.
• Follow up on open orders for vendor confirmation and shipment details.
• Expedite orders to meet customer ship dates.
• Track and report account performance on on-time deliveries.
• Collaborate with account managers to develop expediting plans.
• Assist with account process improvements and tracking.
• Support invoicing of monthly billings and track customer credits.

About this role

Competitive Pay:This position offers an hourly wage ranging from$22.00/hr. to $25.00/hr., depending on experience and qualifications.

What You\'ll Do:

• Enter Orders and generate purchase orders to send to vendors
• Follow up on Open Orders to ensure vendor confirmation and shipping information has been noted in SXe.
• Expedite orders as needed to meet customer\'s requested ship date.
• Track and report Account performance levels on On Time Deliveries.
• Work with Account Managers to develop and execute expediting plans that meet customer\'s needs. Assist with partner account process improvements and tracking.
• Extensive knowledge of account requirements and special situations, ability to achieve target goals.
• Work cooperatively with other OTC associates.
• Offer assistance when required.
• Invoice Monthly Billings
• Track Customer Credits

What You\'ll Need:

• Associate\'s Degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or High School Diploma with two (2) years related experience.
• Experience and knowledge of electrical and automation distribution.
• Excellent customer relation and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Capable of working independently, as well as a team member
• High level office computer skills required. Microsoft Office knowledge a must.
• Interact with co-workers with a positive attitude to maintain a friendly and productive work environment
