Job summary

Five Star Bank in California is seeking an Operations Quality Control Specialist to perform quality reviews of work processed by operational staff, audit accounts and customer records, and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.

You will identify processing errors, document findings, provide coaching, monitor service levels, and support audits while partnering with other teams to drive efficiency and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a commercial banking environment required; operations background preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related major preferred and/or management experience in financial services

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control reviews of work processed by operational staff to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established policies and procedures
• Audit account maintenance, customer records, transactions, and system entries for compliance with Bank policies, internal controls, and applicable regulatory requirements
• Identify processing errors, trends, and opportunities for improvement to reduce operational risk and enhance overall quality
• Document quality review findings and maintain records of audits, exceptions, corrective actions, and follow-up activities
• Provide feedback, coaching, and guidance to employees regarding quality standards, procedural requirements, and operational best practices
• Monitor service levels, quality metrics, and operational trends to support departmental goals and operational excellence
