Job description

Location: 2501W University Dr, McKinney, TXUSA
Job Type: Onsite – U.S. citizenship required for security clearance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality engineering support to Raytheon programs ensuring compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements.
  • Use critical‑thinking resources and methods to improve product design, minimize inspection, resolve manufacturing defects, and perform data preparation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Conduct product and process audits for compliance with various standards and product requirements.
  • Support process improvement initiatives and failure modes & effects analysis (FMEA) on processes and products to prevent defects.
  • Support implementation of product quality control plans and lead root‑cause and corrective action activities.
  • Act on all applicable material, product, and equipment alerts using the nonconformance and/or purge process to protect product reliability.
  • Manage dropped and damaged hardware processing and incident reporting.
  • Maintain proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in quality, operations, or manufacturing engineering.
  • Experience with AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management systems, GD&T, and measurement practices.
  • Experience with technical procedures, specifications, standards, and engineering documentation.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
  • Preferred: Current DoD clearance, experience with First Article Inspections (AS9102) and/or Advanced Product Quality Planning (AS9145).
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with team members, customers, and suppliers.
  • Sound judgment, decision‑making skills, and supervisory‑appropriate interventions.
  • Ability to conduct autonomous, self‑guided process and product assessments, root‑cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies (Kaizen, Lean, DMAIC, DMADV), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), capability analysis, Design of Experiments (DOE), and Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA).
  • Experience working in an aerospace‑related manufacturing environment and familiarity with microelectronic fabrication, manufacturing, and assembly.
  • Knowledge of project management techniques.
