Job summary

The University of Chicago Booth School of Business is seeking an Assistant Director, Programs and Operations to partner with the Faculty Director in advancing the Chookaszian Accounting Research Center (CARC). The role oversees operations, budgets, and faculty support, coordinating workshops, meetings, and select conferences to expand the Center’s reach and impact.

Responsibilities include managing financial activities, supporting strategic initiatives, and coordinating vendor relationships

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience in administrative and operational roles.
• Event and program management experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary administrative and operational partner to the Faculty Director and support center operations.
• Manage the center's annual operating budget, forecasting, expense approvals, and budget reports.
• Support development and implementation of strategic initiatives to enhance visibility and impact of the Center.
• Coordinate research support activities, surveys, data collection, and initiatives strengthening research capabilities.
• Plan and manage conferences, workshops, and faculty meetings, including logistics and staffing.
