Job summary

The University of Chicago Booth School of Business is seeking an Assistant Director of Programs and Event for the Center for Applied Artificial Intelligence (CAAI). The role coordinates logistics, registration, speaker support, and financial administration across a year of programming for students, alumni, faculty, and industry audiences.

Responsibilities include managing the AI Workshop series, directing student workers, and working with the communications team to promote events and maintain

Qualifications

  • Verbal, written, and presentation skills are essential.
  • Experience coordinating events and programs.
  • Academic or professional experience in higher education is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements annual program and event strategies aligned with CAAI's mission.
  • Leads planning, execution, and evaluation of all CAAI programs and events, including budgets and logistics.
  • Manages vendor relations, registrations, and speaker coordination.
  • Oversees the AI Workshop series and supports promotional materials and communications.
  • Documents processes to improve event operations and reporting.
