Job summary

The University of Chicago Booth School of Business is seeking an Assistant Director, Programs and Operations for the Chookaszian Accounting Research Center (CARC). You will oversee center operations, budget administration, faculty support, data management, and key initiatives while coordinating workshops, meetings, and events.

This role requires 2–5 years of related experience, a bachelor's degree, and strong financial and project-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary administrative and operational partner to the Faculty Director, supporting strategic priorities and center operations.
• Manage the Center’s annual operating budget and real-time budget reports.
• Prepare monthly analyses, projections, and reports for budget planning.
• Support strategic initiatives to enhance visibility and growth of the Center.
• Coordinate research support activities, surveys, and data collection.
• Manage faculty recruitment logistics and candidate communications.
• Provide administrative support for research initiatives, meetings, and communications.
