Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino, California seeks a Modules NPI PM to lead the WW Operations interface with product development and other functions.

You own the product lifecycle, ensuring launches meet cost, quality, schedule, availability and customer experience goals. Responsibilities include ramping availability, coordinating with Materials, Quality and Engineering, driving low-cost, high-quality supply chains, and presenting risk and options to the cross-functional executive team.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering or product development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Manufacturing discipline.
  • Experience with offshore manufacturers and travel to sites is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Leads ramp availability and sustaining operations with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensures security, materials, equipment, staffing and training plans at partners.
  • Drives responsive supply chains prioritizing cost, flexibility and quality.
  • Analyses risk and communicates status to management with options.
  • Links operations/engineering teams to factory hand-offs for new products.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 20-25%.

Description

The Modules NPI PM will lead the team within WW Operations and be the primary operations interface to the core product development team and other functional organizations within Apple. As the owner of the product, the NPI PM will ensure the successful launch products towards meeting its stated cost, quality, schedule, availability and customer experience goals.

Responsibilities
  • Leads ramp availability and sustaining operations for input all product modules with Materials, Quality, Engineering and other internal and external teams.
  • Ensures security, materials, equipment, fixtures, staffing, training, documentation plans are in place at our partners.
  • Drives responsive supply chains that optimize lowest costs, operational flexibility and high quality.
  • Assesses, analyzes, consolidates, and communicates risk and status clearly and succinctly to management, calling out key issues and presenting options for resolution to the cross-functional executive team through the new product reviews and other executive forums.
  • Provides links from the Operations & Engineering Teams to the Factory teams from various development builds through new product introduction and sustaining. including product hand-off to Sustaining Operations Management.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 20-25%
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering or product development.
  • Bachelors in Engineering or Manufacturing discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with off-shore manufacturers and traveling to manufacturing sites
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to present to management
  • Extraordinary ability to build relationships and influence cross-functional teams
  • Clear, consistent communication
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated
  • Excellent program management skills
  • Use data to drive decisions and be willing to take action
  • Proactive and high level of detail while running several work-streams
  • Technical expertise and prior OEM management experience
  • Masters or MBA are considered a plus

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $133,500 and $201,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments as well as relocation.
