Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino, California, is seeking a New Product Introduction Operations Program Specialist (NPI OPS) to drive on-time launches with top product quality and availability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Apple & Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) operations teams in executing early operations builds & line bring-up material strategy
  • Track readiness/risks: work with procurement teams and engineering teams on material down-selections, technical and production risks
  • Lead communications, resolve issues and clearly communicate current status
  • Influence product cost and product margin through material usage optimization projects
  • Communicate system requirements and schedules to facilitate technical readiness with cross-functional teams
  • NPI owner in ordering, tracking and actualizing material to support development builds & product ramp; drive material delivery through Apple Procurement and direct with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery
  • Cross-functional owner for tracking & BOM readiness
  • Create purchase orders, maintain invoice tracking and goods receipts

Description

The New Product Introduction Operations Program Specialist (NPI OPS) plays a key role in launching Apple’s new products on time with superior product quality and maximum customer availability. We support the fast-paced development and launch of Apple’s products. You will be a key facilitator who defines and drives material to enable manufacturing line bring-up and collaborate with engineering to define final bill of materials. Overall mission is a successful product launch with all lines brought up on schedule and within budget.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement or Buyer roles.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Supply Chain/Operations, Science or Engineering
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 15%
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to consolidate detailed and extensive cross-functional data into concise executive briefings
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to articulate complex scenarios in simple terms to OEM and working level teams as well as executives
  • Excel, Database, & Statistical Software (SPSS, SAS, SQL etc.) experience a plus

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $133,500 and $246,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
