Job summary

VITAS Healthcare in the United States seeks an experienced business/data analyst to drive actionable insights across operations. You will maintain and improve dashboards, analyze financial and productivity data, and influence strategies for company-wide performance.

Proficiency in Excel, PowerPivot/PowerQuery, Cognos, PowerBI, SQL, and VBA is required, with strong problem-solving, communication, and mentoring abilities to lead multiple projects with management support.

Qualifications

• Five to eight years business and/or data analysis experience.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including PowerPivot and PowerQuery.
• Knowledge of IBM Cognos, MS PowerBI, SQL, and VBA a plus.
• Analytical and problem solving skills with ability to coordinate work with management.
• Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
• Solid knowledge of operational and data structures and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops and refines analytical best practices and standards.
• Ensures accuracy and integrity of key operational dashboards and their data sources, and implements changes as needed.
• Analyzes operational performance using financial and productivity data across company processes.
• Interprets results using techniques from simple aggregation to complex data mining.
• Provides recommendations on strategies and continuity based on thorough research and analysis.
• Designs, develops, implements and maintains business solutions to improve performance.
• Manages operational process improvement projects with realistic plans.
• Conducts ad hoc analyses on various departments and branches.
• Maintains and publishes standard reports for Executive Operations.
• Maintains databases and develops weekly/monthly metrics reports.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to junior analysts.
