We are seeking an experienced Director of Manufacturing Operations to lead and optimize production functions for a significant business unit that supports mission-critical programs within the defense sector. This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing manufacturing, operations, engineering support, and production control across a workforce of 60–150 employees.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the end-to-end operations of molding, assembly, engineering support, and production control teams.
• Ensure cost-effective utilization of workforce, capital equipment, and materials to meet profitability, delivery, productivity, and quality goals.
• Oversee production schedules, work-in-progress, and ensure manufacturing meets specs and deadlines.
• Drive continuous improvement, Lean/Kaizen initiatives, and operational excellence
• Manage annual budgets, capital expenditures, and labor planning.
• Foster a high-performance culture by empowering team leaders, resolving challenges, and promoting personal accountability.
• Partner with sales, inspection, purchasing, and other business functions to ensure seamless coordination and high customer satisfaction
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing or operations leadership
• Demonstrated expertise in cost control, production scheduling, and quality compliance (ISO/AS9100 preferred)
• Strong ERP system experience and solid business acumen
• Experience leading large teams (60–150 employees) across multiple production departments
• Track record of implementing Lean tools and continuous improvement frameworks
• Excellent leadership, communication, and coaching skills
• Prior experience in defense or aerospace manufacturing is highly preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship is required due to defense program involvement
