Banda Group International is seeking an Operations Specialist to support facility operations and readiness in a regulated national security environment. You will coordinate activities, schedules, deliverables, and action items across multiple teams while ensuring compliance with DOE and LANL requirements.

Key responsibilities include facility walkdowns, readiness planning, and developing clear communications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in an operational, technical, regulated, or compliance-driven setting.
  • Experience coordinating project activities across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience with facility walkdowns, workplace observations, or field-based activities.
  • Ability to apply organizational policies and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with DOE Orders and LANL procedures for nuclear facility operations.
  • Experience with LANL business systems (Oracle, UTrain, PDMLink).
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Report unsafe conditions or incidents to management.
  • Participate in required training sessions and safety briefings.

The Operations Specialist supports facility operations and operational readiness within a highly regulated national security environment. This position works closely with facility, technical, and programmatic teams to coordinate project activities, schedules, deliverables, assessments, and action items while helping ensure work is executed in accordance with applicable DOE and organizational requirements.

The role serves as a key coordination point across multiple stakeholders, translating operational and technical needs into actionable plans, documentation, procedures, and communications. The Operations Specialist also participates in facility walkdowns and assessments, supports readiness activities, and contributes to process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate project activities, schedules, deliverables, milestones, and action tracking across multiple organizations.
  • Serve as a central coordination point between facility personnel, programmatic customers, technical teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Support operational readiness planning and execution for technical and regulated facility operations.
  • Participate in facility and area walkdowns to evaluate field conditions, operational needs, and readiness.
  • Track project and operational actions through completion and communicate status, risks, and outstanding needs to stakeholders.
  • Research and implement effective practices related to operational readiness, process improvement, and procedure development.
  • Develop written, verbal, and visual communications to support facility and program objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promptly report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or incidents to management.
  • Participate in required training sessions and safety briefings.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
  • Experience supporting work in an operational, technical, regulated, or compliance-driven environment.
  • Experience coordinating project activities, schedules, deliverables, assessments, and action tracking across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience participating in or supporting facility walkdowns, workplace observations, assessments, or other field-based activities.
  • Ability to understand and apply organizational policies, procedures, and institutional requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder coordination, interpersonal, and customer-service skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with DOE Orders and LANL procedures related to nuclear facility operations.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and updating project schedules.
  • Experience with LANL business systems, including Oracle, UTrain, or PDMLink.
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma.
