Job summary

Verde Clean invites ambitious professionals to join the Emerging Leader Program (ELP) in Phoenix, designed to mold future Site Managers. As an ELP Leader, you’ll learn from site leadership while guiding daily operations and training teams in a fast-paced environment.

You'll gain hands-on experience in scheduling, performance coaching, safety compliance, and client communications, with clear paths toward promotion into Site Supervisor or Site Manager roles at Verde Clean.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in janitorial or facility services.
• Passion for leadership and career growth in operations or management.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Learn and assist in daily custodial operations, including crew scheduling and task delegation.
• Lead small teams and develop confidence in directing day-to-day activities and resolving on-site issues.
• Train alongside site leadership in performance management, including coaching, recognition, and discipline.
• Participate in quality inspections, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and client satisfaction.
• Help ensure teams follow OSHA and safety procedures, participating in daily safety stretches and flexes.
• Assist in inventory tracking and distribution of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Serve as a point of contact for crew members, communicating updates, expectations, and feedback.

As an ELP Leader, you'll work side-by-side with Site Supervisors and Site Managers, learning the ropes while leading with passion and purpose.

WHAT YOU'LL DO AS AN ELP LEADER

You’ll receive direct coaching from experienced site leadership while managing real-time operational needs. You’ll be expected to:

• Participate in and eventually conduct quality inspections, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and client satisfaction.
• Help ensure teams follow all OSHA and safety procedures, participating in daily safety stretches and flexes.
• Assist in inventory tracking and distribution of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Serve as a point of contact for crew members, communicating updates, expectations, and feedback.
• Model and promote Verde's culture and "Verde Vibes" through positivity, teamwork, and a client-first mindset.
• Receive and apply ongoing leadership development training to prepare for transition into Site Supervisor or Site Manager roles.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in janitorial or facility services.
• Passion for leadership and career growth in operations or management.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency required.
• Comfortable working flexible shifts in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Willingness to travel between sites as needed.

Preferred:

• Previous experience in a team lead or crew lead capacity.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and custodial best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• High school diploma or equivalent.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and lift.
• Must be able to lift up to 25–50 pounds depending on job site.
• Work is performed in active janitorial and/or construction environments.

Upon successful completion of the Emerging Leader Program, you’ll be considered for promotion into roles such as Site Supervisor or Site Manager, based on your performance, location needs, and leadership readiness.
