Job summary

Phoenix House Florida is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee daily operations of residential and outpatient substance abuse treatment programs. You will ensure regulatory compliance, support clinical leadership, and manage staffing and facilities to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.

The role requires leadership, strong organizational and communication skills, and experience with budgeting and policy development in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in healthcare/administration or related field.
• 3–5 years of operational management experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or substance abuse treatment.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in behavioral health.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of residential and/or outpatient substance abuse treatment programs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, AHCA, DCF, Joint Commission, and Medicaid regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical leadership to support quality patient care and program effectiveness.
• Monitor staffing schedules and operational coverage for all shifts.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and training of operational staff.
• Conduct routine audits of facility operations, documentation, and compliance requirements.
• Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and workflow improvements.
• Address operational concerns, incidents, and employee issues promptly.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for clients and staff.
• Coordinate with vendors, maintenance teams, and external service providers.
• Assist leadership with budgeting, inventory management, and cost control.
