Placements24 is partnering with a dynamic nonprofit to recruit an experienced Operations Manager who will oversee day-to-day programs and services in the East London context. You will lead logistics, administration, and resource management to maximize impact.

About the Role

Our client, a dynamic organization within the Charity & Voluntary sector in East London , is seeking an experienced and highly organized Operations Manager . This role is critical for ensuring the efficient and effective day-to-day running of the organization's programs and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operational management, process improvement, and team leadership within a mission-driven environment. You will play a key role in optimizing operations to maximize social impact and ensure the sustainability of our client's work in the Eastern Cape .

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all operational aspects of the organization, including logistics, administration, and resource management in East London .
• Develop, implement, and refine operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Manage budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure financial compliance for operational activities.
• Lead, train, and motivate operational staff, fostering a productive and collaborative work environment.
• Ensure the smooth delivery of programs and services, addressing any operational challenges promptly.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and service providers, negotiating favorable terms.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the non-profit or social enterprise sector.
• Proven track record of successfully managing operational budgets and improving processes.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in relevant operational software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience working within the Eastern Cape context is an advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
