Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions is seeking an Operations Manager in Charlotte, NC to oversee day-to-day rigging and crating operations, ensuring efficient use of time, materials, and equipment while maintaining safety. You will plan, direct, or coordinate operational activities and contribute to policy formation, budgeting, and strategic planning across operations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in construction, operations, industrial applications, or similar; rigging/crane experience preferred.
• Supervisory background preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities; focus on safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate department activities to ensure materials, labor, and equipment are available per job/customer requirements.
• Oversee administrative functions: training, onboarding, reporting, record-keeping, scheduling, and dispatch/logistics coordination.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure materials or equipment are ready and operations are sustained.
• Establish and implement operational protocols including staffing, safety, and information dissemination.
• Set and oversee department goals in conjunction with managers and the General Manager.
• Evaluate processes for compliance with laws, regulations, and customer/company specs.
• Act as MEI representative to external customers, vendors, agencies, and on-site contractors.
• Participate in job walks, equipment inspection, budget review, and provide guidance for operations.
