Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions in La Mirada, CA is seeking an Operations Manager to lead day-to-day rigging and crating operations, ensuring safe, efficient use of time, materials, and equipment.

Responsibilities include directing department activities, coordinating with vendors, implementing protocols, budgeting, and mentoring staff.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher, 5–10+ years in operations/construction, and strong leadership with MS Office, ERP, and Smartsheet experience.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of experience in construction, operations, or similar fields.
• Direct rigging/crane industry experience is highly preferred but not required.
• Supervisory background is preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety and compliant workplace.
• Proven ability to meet production goals and KPIs.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP/Smartsheet tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and resources concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate department activities to align with job/customer requirements.
• Oversee administrative functions including training, onboarding, reporting, and scheduling.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure materials and equipment are available.
• Establish and implement operational protocols and safety procedures.
• Set department goals with managers and the General Manager.
• Evaluate processes for regulatory and customer compliance.
• Coach and mentor employees; resolve conflicts as needed.
• Participate in job walks, budgeting, and resource planning; provide guidance.
• Represent MEI to customers, vendors, and on-site contractors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
