Job summary

Savannah Convention Center in Savannah, GA is seeking an Operations Manager who builds strong teams, drives accountability, and keeps our venue running smoothly. You’ll lead Event Setup/Conversion and Housekeeping, develop staff, and ensure safety and service standards are met across busy event schedules.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations, you’ll plan staffing, manage budgets, coordinate with departments, and implement training to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred in Facility Management, Hospitality, or related field.
• 3–5 years of supervisory or facility management leadership experience.
• Experience with event setups, housekeeping, and large-facility operations.
• Strong leadership, organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage safety compliance and customer-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee event setups, room conversions, and housekeeping operations.
• Lead, coach, and develop Operations Coordinators and housekeeping staff.
• Coordinate staffing, equipment, and resources across multiple events.
• Monitor work quality and ensure timely task completion.
• Maintain budgets, inventory, and adherence to safety procedures.
