Foster Farms Porterville Plant seeks a senior operations leader to oversee budgeting, production, distribution, warehousing, sanitation and maintenance. This role requires strategic direction and collaboration with Live Production, Product Management, Technical Services, HR, Accounting, USDA, industry groups, and local authorities.

You will drive safety, food safety, and an environment free from harassment, while building leadership depth and engaging teams across functions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive responsibility in management within the Poultry Industry, to include RTE experience.
  • Demonstrated financial understanding to include budgeting, staffing, and cost analysis.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and drive.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Porterville Plant operations including budgeting, production, distribution, warehousing, sanitation and maintenance.
  • Promote, enable, facilitate and drive team member safety and food safety; maintain harassment-free environment.
  • Develop personnel and systems to place manufacturing operations in cost and quality leadership.
  • Assist in product development, quality assurance, engineering systems and equipment for future profitability.
  • Ensure SSOP and HACCP compliance in collaboration with Marketing and USDA.

  • Pay or shift range: $130,925 USD to $171,000 USD

    The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

Salary Range: $130,925 - $171,000 per year

Job Description

The primary objectives of this position are to provide overall direction for the Porterville Plant, including budgeting, production, distribution, warehousing, sanitation, and maintenance functions. The position will include frequent contact with Live Production, Product Management, Technical Services, Human Resources, Accounting, Commodities, Legal, USDA, industry associations, local government agencies, and selected customers.

Leadership:

Production:

  • Developshort-term and long-term goals for production and monitor the results of cost and quality systems to ensure profit margins.
  • Apply leadership to develop personnel and systems that will place the manufacturing operation in an industry-leading position in terms of cost and quality.
  • Provide direction to ensure that comprehensive teammember safety programs are aligned with the Company’s goals and values.

Technical and Engineering:

  • Assist in product development, quality assurance, engineering systems, and equipment to provide future profitability and growth as required by the Manufacturing Division.
  • Develop new products and processes in conjunction with Marketing and USDA compliance with SSOP and HACCP programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A./B.S.) in Business Administration or related fields, preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive responsibility in management within the Poultry Industry, to include RTE experience.
  • Demonstrated financial understanding to include budgeting, staffing, and cost analysis.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and drive.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
