Job summary

Blank Street is seeking an Operations Manager to lead a district of General Managers, coaching talent, and building capability across stores. You will drive hospitality standards, implement operational improvements, and partner with HQ to roll out new initiatives.

As an Operations Manager at Blank Street, your greatest responsibility is growing people. You'll hire, coach, and develop a team of General Managers, helping them become confident leaders who build engaged, high-performing teams across our stores. What You'll Own
People
  • Build, coach, and develop a high-performing team of General Managers.
  • Create an engaging culture where people feel supported, challenged, and excited to come to work.
  • Recruit and hire exceptional leaders in partnership with the People Team.

Operations & Customer Experience
  • Champion exceptional hospitality and hold your teams to Blank Street's standards for service, quality, and execution.
  • Spend time in stores coaching teams and leading by example.
  • Maintain operational excellence, food safety, cleanliness, and brand standards across every location.
  • Partner with HQ teams to implement new initiatives, launches, and operational improvements.
Business Performance
  • Own the financial performance of your district, including sales, labor, and profitability.
  • Use data and insights to identify opportunities, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Build strong relationships within your local communities to grow brand awareness and customer loyalty.
Leadership
  • Lead through change with clarity, urgency, and empathy in a fast-paced, growing business.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve processes and share best practices.
  • Help develop the next generation of Blank Street leaders.
Who We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in hospitality, retail, or another fast-growing consumer business.
  • Experience leading multiple locations and developing managers.
  • Strong operational, financial, and business acumen.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • A collaborative, hands-on leadership style with the ability to coach, make decisions, and lead through change.
  • Passion for hospitality, developing people, and creating exceptional customer and employee experiences.
  • Curious, positive, and committed to continuous learning and growth.
  • Ability to travel regularly between stores within your market.
Availability Requirements

Full Time: 50 hours per week, 5 days of availability required and must be available to work 2 peak days (usually weekend days, weekend as described as Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

  • $90,000 - $120,000 annual base salary
    • Blank Street believes this salary range is accurate for this role in New York City at the time of posting. Final compensation will depend on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a competitive total rewards package, which may include benefits, paid time off, and other perks. The posted salary range may be updated from time to time.
