Job summary

ALO is seeking an Operations Lead to join our store leadership team in Dallas. You will drive profitability and efficiency, work closely with Visual and Operations Managers, and coach the team to achieve optimal results across sales floor and back-of-house areas.

Expect dynamic movement, guest service focus, and a role that builds process and people capabilities. You will lead inventory processes, data-driven improvements, and cross-functional initiatives while maintaining safe, inviting store

  • 2+ Years prior work experience in a client-centric, sales environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead & execute inventory management processes focusing on accuracy and reducing shrink.
  • Investigate and root cause inventory accuracy issues with GM.
  • Manage shipment, receiving, processing, and stock transfers; floor recovery and replenishment.
  • Champion strong visual standards for the sales floor.
  • Maintain stockroom standards and safe operations.
  • Oversee reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory controls, and vendor relations.

Job description

OBJECTIVE

The Operations Lead is a member of the store leadership team and is responsible for driving and coaching to profitability and efficiency. The Operations Lead will work closely with Operations & Visual Managers in initiating, delegating work, and providing feedback to the team to achieve optimal results supporting total store operations. Duties require constant movement in and around the store, including the sales floor and back of house. When not actively assisting guests, this position takes initiative to perform other tasks, as needed, to keep store clean, safe, inviting and operating efficiently.

Operations Leader

  • Lead & execute inventory management processes effectively with a focus on maximizing inventory accuracy and reducing shrink
  • Investigate and root cause inventory accuracy issues, partnering with the General Manager to elevate process or system gaps
  • Manage execution of key operational functions including shipment, receiving and processing, reverse transfers, sales floor recovery, intra-day sales floor replenishment, floor set updates, and supply management
  • Champion strong visual standards for the sales floor
  • Support a safe work environment and efficient operation through strong stockroom standards and processes

Business Leader

  • Partner with Operations & Visual Managers to manage reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities to ensure maintained and maximized
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen by leveraging metrics to support business-driving strategies
  • Move dynamically on the retail floor to assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team and guests
  • Leads by example and inspires staff in daily operations and guest experience.
  • Directly oversee the Operations Associates; responsible for recruitment and development of talent
  • Use company performance tools to evaluate each operations associate and provide constant feedback to drive individual growth and improvement in partnership with the store leader

Flow Experience Leader

  • Collaborate with Visual Lead to ensure cross-functional training, and Sales & Service Lead to ensure the business is well-executed
  • Execute company-level operation-focused directives, projects and initiatives, in partnership with management team, to achieve goals & KPI’s
  • Opens and closes the store in accordance with back of house (BOH) standards

OPERATIONS LEAD QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ Years prior work experience in a client-centric, sales environment
  • Values feedback, receptive to receiving feedback and eager to provide
  • Self-motivated with a desire to achieve results and excel individually, and as a team
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Aligns with and embodies ALO’s Guiding Principles
  • Requires constant movement in and around all areas of store
  • Ability to lift, push, carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl and/or twist, and safely climb up/down a ladder
  • Ability to stand and move for an entire shift

OPERATIONS LEAD SCHEDULE

To build a balanced schedule that supports the needs of the business and our teams, we expect all full-time employees to be available for opening, closing and weekend shifts, which may be subject to change. All Employees are expected to be able to work from the week of and including “Black Friday” until the end of the holiday season, first week of January.
