Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta, GA is seeking an experienced healthcare operations manager to oversee multiple cost centers within the Family Centered Care division. You will work with departmental managers to ensure efficient delivery of patient care, establish resource needs, and support policy development to meet service goals.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and Georgia RN licensure, with MSN or MBA preferred for advanced leadership. Working hours are 8AM-4PM on-site at the hospital.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in management or field with extensive experience in the assigned area.
• RN licensed in Georgia.
• MSN or MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple hospital cost centers within Family Centered Care.
• Manage department cost centers through assigned managers, coordinators, or supervisors.
• Evaluate trends in activity and implement changes to improve service levels.
• Collaborate with Director and Clinical Managers to develop department goals, policies, and procedures.
• Develop and maintain systems for managing resources required for patient care delivery.
• Contribute input into hospital-wide or cross‑divisional policies; participate on hospital committees addressing operations.
• Set performance expectations and hold others accountable to standards.
• Define, develop and allocate resources for patient care; monitor key performance indicators and opportunities for improvement.

Education

Bachelor's degree in management or field of assigned specialty

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overseeing multiple hospital cost centers within Family Centered Care.
• Responsible for, through assigned department clinical managers, coordinators, or supervisor(s), the effective management of department cost centers.
• Evaluates trends in activity and makes operational changes as necessary to improve service levels.
• In concert with Director and Clinical Managers, develops departmental goals and objectives and polices and procedures which meet the service needs of the area.
• Develops and maintains systems, techniques and procedures for managing resources required for patient care delivery.
• May develop and provides input into hospital-wide policies or departmental policies that impact across division lines. Actively participates on hospital committees that address operational issues.
• Establishes the expected level of performance and maintains the standard by holding others accountable.
• Manages the process for defining, developing and allocating the resources required for patient care.
• Defines and monitors key measures of performance, assesses the effectiveness of process/practice improvements and identifies priorities/opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:1. Bachelor's degree in management or field of assigned specialty with extensive experience in the appropriate service or equivalent amount of education and experience unique to assigned areas of responsibility.
