Job summary

Farwest seeks an Operations Manager I to lead Western Coating operations in Ogden, overseeing warehouse activities, inventory management, and machinery maintenance. You will drive safety, Lean improvements, and coordination with Sales to maintain production goals; a hands-on leader capable of managing up to 50 team members in a dynamic environment.

Strong focus on training, scheduling, and effective communication with internal and external customers; pre-employment checks and safety compliance

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall safety and operation of warehouse activities.
• Oversee inventory management and machinery maintenance.
• Manage raw material receiving, warehousing, and delivery.
• Coordinate logistics including tractors, trailers and third-party haulage.
• Collaborate with Sales to maintain efficient production levels.
• Train, develop and coach production employees.
• Apply Lean principles for continuous improvement.
• Ensure safe work practices inside production premises.
