Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Operations Manager in California to lead and develop a team of salaried and hourly staff across the three-mile operations. You will drive safety, quality, attendance, and performance while using data-driven decisions to boost productivity and efficiency.

Ensure customer orders are delivered on time to the right location. You will mentor and manage cross-functional teams including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, and HR, with a flexible schedule including weekends,

Qualifications

• 3+ years in employee and performance management.
• Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years Amazon experience.
• 1+ year in performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques.
• Experience leading a team of 2+ salaried and 70+ indirect employees.
• Experience with Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Track record of meeting or exceeding department goals.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Operations, or related field.
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a salaried and hourly workforce.
• Drive large-scope projects with site and regional impact.
• Build and execute productivity plans through forecast reviews and load balancing.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, HR to meet objectives.
• Perform physical tasks and work a flexible schedule including weekends/nights/holidays.
