Operations Manager - Hilton New York Times Square (Finance)

The Hilton New York Times Square is seeking an Operations Manager to lead their hotel team! Located at the heart of Times Square, this upscale hotel soars 44 stories above Manhattan, offering 478 rooms featuring breathtaking views of Times Square and multiple food and beverage outlets.

This position will be the manager on duty during various shifts (including AM/PM/overnight) and will report to the Director of Operations. The ideal candidate will possess 4-5 years of hotel experience across departments such as Front Office, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Engineering. Knowledge of the New York Union, Local 6, as well as strong team-building and interpersonal skills, will be critical for success.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $85,000 (final offer based on experience).

What will I be doing?

As Operations Manager, you will manage hotel operations across various shifts to ensure guest satisfaction, profitability, cost control, and standards maintenance. Responsibilities include:

  • Delegating and inspecting room and cleaning assignments to Housekeeping
  • Fostering team spirit through leadership and guidance
  • Training and supervising team members, conducting performance inspections
  • Communicating effectively with staff and guests, providing clear instructions
  • Monitoring team performance, conducting evaluations, and recognizing achievements
  • Greeting guests warmly, listening to their requests and concerns
  • Managing operations during stress and emergencies, resolving guest issues
  • Recruiting, interviewing, and training staff
  • Liaising with vendors on hotel technology and product updates
