Job summary

Integrated Power USA, a TotalEnergies integrated power platform, is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the safe, reliable operation of distributed solar and energy storage assets in Georgia. You will coordinate O&M providers, optimize performance, and ensure contractual and safety compliance.

You will analyze data, drive root-cause investigations, engage OEMs, manage budgets, and contribute to maintenance strategies while collaborating with internal stakeholders and supporting new asset

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive experience in operations, maintenance, asset management, or related field.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for operational issues.
• Ability to interpret performance and maintenance data to identify risks, trends, and optimization opportunities.
• Ability to assess risks and make sound risk-based decisions.
• Experience managing contractors, OEMs, and technical service providers to achieve safety, reliability, and performance objectives.
• Knowledge of solar PV and battery energy storage system (BESS) operations.
• Understanding of asset reliability, availability, performance optimization, and lifecycle costs.
• Familiarity with CMMS, remote monitoring, and data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent in English; OSHA/NFPA 70E training required; valid driver's license and travel ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, reliable operation of distributed solar and storage assets.
• Manage third-party O&M providers and subcontractors to ensure safe execution of work and compliance with safety requirements.
• Drive asset availability, reliability, and performance through monitoring, analysis, and preventive maintenance.
• Monitor performance data, remote monitoring platforms, weather, alarms, and trends to identify issues and optimization opportunities.
• Coordinate daily operational activities with O&M providers, OEMs, and other stakeholders for timely maintenance.
• Lead root cause analyses of equipment failures and underperformance events and implement corrective actions.
• Engage inverter, tracker, battery, and other OEMs to resolve issues and pursue warranty recovery.
• Ensure maintenance activities are planned, tracked, and documented in CMMS and other systems.
• Review contracts, warranties, and technical manuals to ensure compliance and effective asset management.
• Develop maintenance strategies, quality programs, and reliability initiatives.
• Manage operating expenses, service provider costs, warranties, and budget forecasts.
• Develop solutions for spare parts, obsolescence, and aging assets to minimize downtime.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders and support reporting and escalations.
• Collaborate with internal teams on quoting, invoicing, warranties, and other activities.
• Lead continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and evaluating new technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

The Operations Manager position is responsible for:

• Lead the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of an assigned portfolio of distributed generation solar and energy storage assets, driving operational safety, availability, performance, and financial results.
• Manage third-party O&M providers and subcontractors to ensure safe execution of work, proactively identify and mitigate hazards, verify compliance with site-specific safety requirements, and contribute to the ongoing development of O&M safety programs.
• Drive asset availability, reliability, and performance through monitoring, analysis, troubleshooting, and execution of corrective and preventive maintenance activities.
• Monitor performance data, remote monitoring platforms, weather conditions, site cameras, alarms, and operational trends to identify issues, risks, and optimization opportunities.
• Coordinate and prioritize daily operational activities with O&M providers, OEMs, Remote Operations, Performance Management, Engineering, and other stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution and maintenance execution.
• Lead investigations of equipment failures and underperformance events, perform or coordinate root cause analyses, and drive implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Engage inverter, tracker, battery, communications, and other OEMs to resolve technical issues, pursue warranty recovery, and implement permanent solutions to recurring fleet issues.
• Ensure maintenance activities are planned, tracked, documented, and completed within CMMS and other operational systems in accordance with contractual, regulatory, and company requirements.
• Review and interpret contracts, service agreements, warranties, technical manuals, drawings, operating procedures, and specifications to ensure compliance and effective asset management.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of maintenance strategies, quality programs, operational procedures, and reliability initiatives that support long-term asset performance.
• Manage operating expenses, service provider costs, guarantee liabilities, budget forecasts, and cost optimization initiatives while maintaining safety, reliability, and contractual performance.
• Develop solutions for spare parts, equipment obsolescence, long-lead materials, and aging asset challenges to minimize downtime and lifecycle costs.
• Build and maintain customer and stakeholder relationships by delivering contractual obligations, managing expectations, supporting operational reporting, and effectively resolving escalations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support quoting, work prioritization, invoicing, availability guarantees, warranty claims, and other operational and commercial activities.
• Lead Closed Loop Learning and continuous improvement initiatives by capturing lessons learned, sharing best practices across DG and UPP teams, implementing process improvements, and evaluating emerging technologies and tools.
• Support commissioning, operational readiness, and handover activities for new assets transitioning into the operating fleet.

This position may be based anywhere within the state of Georgia.

Education/Qualifications:

• 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in operations, maintenance, asset management, power generation, renewable energy, industrial facilities, electrical infrastructure, or a related field, with demonstrated responsibility for operational performance, maintenance activities, contractors, or technical service providers.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to systematically evaluate operational issues and drive effective resolution.
• Ability to interpret performance, operational, and maintenance data to identify risks, trends, and optimization opportunities.
• Ability to assess technical, safety, operational, and commercial risks and make sound risk-based decisions.
• Experience managing contractors, OEMs, and technical service providers to achieve safety, reliability, and performance objectives.
• Ability to review and interpret contracts, technical documentation, drawings, specifications, maintenance procedures, and warranty requirements.
• Knowledge of solar PV and battery energy storage system (BESS) operations and maintenance practices.
• Understanding of asset reliability, availability, performance optimization, and lifecycle cost management.
• Familiarity with contractor management, OEM coordination, warranty administration, and service agreements.
• Knowledge of renewable energy performance metrics, operational KPIs, and performance analysis.
• Understanding of electrical safety practices, maintenance standards, and industry best practices.
• Familiarity with remote monitoring, CMMS, data analysis tools, and other operational technologies used in renewable energy asset management.
• Understanding of operating budgets, guarantees, warranties, and customer contractual obligations.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent in English, including the ability to communicate effectively in technical, commercial, and customer-facing environments.
• OSHA and NFPA 70E training required; certification may be obtained following hire.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
