Essentia Health is hiring an Operations Manager to support our General Surgery & Plastic Surgery departments at our Duluth Clinic. This leader will also have oversight and partnership with our Superior Clinic.

This role is a full-time, day shift, salaried position and is fully benefit eligible. In collaboration with senior leadership, leads large multi-specialty group practice(s) and business operations, focusing on operational activities, planning, prioritizing, and directing the work of teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; or an Associate degree in Nursing with ability to obtain Bachelor's within 3 years.
• 3+ years of healthcare experience, preferably in a clinical setting or administrative fellowship.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to coordinate complex clinical schedules and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead large multi-specialty group practices and oversee business operations.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to achieve operational goals.
• Direct the work of teams, implement process improvements, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coach, mentor, and develop talent pipelines within the department.
• Ensure alignment of policies and procedures across clinics including the Duluth and Superior locations.

The majority of time is spent overseeing area of responsibility, planning, prioritizing and/or directing the work/responsibilities of teams/colleagues. Goal achievement of the specified area is accomplished through strong management of teams/colleagues to ensure operational results. Maintains optimum patient care systems through effective fiscal and operational management, which includes ensuring policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed by team members. Communicates with parties within and outside of own job function, which may include external customers or vendors. Responsible for managing teams, making and implementing adjustments and improvements of processes, systems or products to enhance performance of job area. Responsible for coaching, leading and mentoring emerging talent and developing the talent pipeline. Oversees compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements and development and maintenance of Practice Manuals.
