Job summary

The McPherson Companies is seeking an experienced leader for MAC Reliability who will oversee high-velocity oil flushing and chemical cleaning operations across industrial sectors. You will manage project teams, ensure safety, and drive profitability while coordinating with sales and field management.

Ideal candidates bring 15+ years in flushing/cleaning ops, 5+ years in team leadership, and strong knowledge of rotating equipment and P&ID interpretation.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in high velocity oil flushing and chemical cleaning operations.

• Experience in industrial environments such as pulp & paper, metals, power gen, petrochemical, oil & gas.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams of oil flushing project managers and technicians, including recruiting and training.
• Oversee profitability, labor/equipment utilization, job costing and expenses for flushing operations.
• Coordinate with sales and project management to develop costed proposals with target profitability.
• Ensure safe work practices and compliance with company HSE programs.
• Source and maintain major equipment like flushing pumps, filters, dehydrators, and generators.
• Assist with high velocity flushing, chemical cleaning, varnish mitigation, reservoir cleaning, and filtration projects.
• Maintain high standards of quality, safety, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.
• Report to the General Manager – MAC Reliability and collaborate with the Field Services Manager.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Lead teams of oil flushing project managers and technicians including recruiting, training, succession planning, and competency development.
• Responsible for the financial performance of all flushing operations including project profitability, labor and equipment utilization, job costing and operating expenses.
• Coordinate with sales and project management to develop proposals and job cost estimates that reflect target profitability goals.
• Responsible for ensuring that safe work practices are adhered to implementing and maintaining jobsite safety program and coordinating with corporate HSE to ensure compliance.
• Responsible for sourcing and maintaining all major equipment including flushing pumps, filter housings, vacuum dehydrators, varnish mitigation skids, and generators.
• Assist with and execute high velocity oil flushing, chemical cleaning, varnish mitigation, reservoir cleaning, and oil filtration/dehydration projects as needed
• Responsible for maintaining a high standard of quality, safety, professionalism and customer satisfaction.
• This position will report to the General Manager – MAC Reliability and will work alongside the Field Services Manager

Position Requirements:

• 15+ Years experience in high velocity oil flushing and chemical cleaning operations
• 5+ Years experience of team management including recruiting and hiring.
• Experience working in industrial environments including pulp & paper, metals manufacturing, power generation, petrochemical, and oil & gas preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of rotating equipment, filtration systems, valves and piping systems including gas & steam turbines, compressors, hydraulics, paper machines, etc.
• Familiar with OEM and industry ISO and API standards for lube oil flushing.
• Ability to read and markup P&IDs
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work safely in industrial settings, including confined areas and elevated platforms
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional overnight, overtime and travel to customer sites
• Clean driving record for the past 3 years.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.

• Associates or Bachelors Degree
• Industry certifications including CLS, MLT, OMA

• Advance computer skills with proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc. previous sophisticated ERP system experience preferred.

The work of this position is performed in both inside and outside environments in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. The position requires the ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs. Frequent bending, stooping, and climbing are required. In this position, associates may be exposed to hazardous materials, vapors, fumes, and extreme weather conditions. Proper PPE is provided for employees working in these conditions.
