Position Summary

The Operations Manager is a member of the Store Management team, fulfilling the company's purpose of helping people on their path to better health by driving store execution and performance while building consumer loyalty through excellent customer service. Under the supervision of the Store Manager, the Operations Manager maintains an engaged, productive store team through strong leadership, initiative, and leading by example.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in the overall leadership and strategic operation of the store, including management, supervision, and policy implementation.
• Manage sales, inventory, staffing, training, development, and financial operations.
• Lead customer service efforts to ensure a positive shopping experience.

The role is not part of the CVS/pharmacy Retail Management Development Program, and Operations Managers are not eligible for direct promotion to Store Manager. Candidates aiming to become Store Managers should consider applying for Store Manager in Training positions.

Essential Functions

• Lead and supervise store staff, communicate effectively, and support operational and service improvements.
• Assist customers, address questions, problems, and complaints, and promote CVS customer service culture.

Qualifications

• Deductive reasoning, advanced analytical, and computer skills.
• Strong communication, leadership, supervision, and influencing skills.
• Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule, including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and respond to urgent issues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a retail manager or supervisor.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Additional Details

• Anticipated weekly hours: 40
• Employment type: Full-time
• Pay range: $18.00 - $31.00 per hour, depending on experience and location.
